Most monthly meetings begin at 7:30 pm
(doors open at 7pm, arrive early for refreshments & chit-chat)
at the St. Francis Center for Spirituality, 500 Todt Hill Road, SI, NY 10304
Cost: $5 minimum, we would be most appreciative if you would find it in your heart
to donate a little extra if possible to help defray the cost of our meetings
(refreshments, speakers, printing, mailing, donation for use of Friary, etc.)
Mission: Serving God as a Single Person (SGSP) is a contemporary circle of men and women,
specifically ages 30-49, who are single or single again and wish to lead more fulfilled, empowered
lives by deepening their Catholic spirituality and meeting like-minded peers. SGSP was formed in
March 2001 to acknowledge the challenge of living singly in today’s world by offering topics and
events that address the following five values: the spiritual, intellectual, practical, social and charitable.

5-Sept 18, 2008 Thursday SGSP Meeting at St. Francis Center for Spirituality.
6-October 10, 2008 Friday 8pm, Play at Wagner College "Annie Get Your Gun".
7- November 1, 2008 Saturday, 10th Anniversary Celebration of our Host
Sponsor The St. Francis Center for Spirituality. Mass at 10am,
Luncheon 12noon at Hilton, SI.
1-July 16, 2008 Wednesday arrive 7-7:30pm - Ice Cream Night
Place- Eggers Ice Cream Palor 1194 Forest Ave,(near Jewett Ave) Staten Island.
Cost- Pay for your own.

COST- $12 per ticket PAID IN ADVANCE.
DEADLINE - July 14, 2008, mail ck made out to "cash" to

We will be purchasing a group of advance tickets so we will be able to
sit together. Tickets will be purchased so we will have them to give
out to whomever is at our Icecream night. Please make sure you include
your full name and telephone nbr with your check so we can arrange to
get the tickets to you if you are not at the IceCream Night.

TICKETS are $75.00 each. SGSP has been a part of the St. Francis
Center for Spirituality since our beginning. The Center and Fr. Philip
Blaine have been our group's Spiritual Advisor and welcomed SGSP when
we needed a home. We would like to make a good showing at his special
event. The Gala will honor the 80years of service the Franciscan
Friars have given to Staten Island, as well as honor Fr. Benedict
Groeschel (EWTN)-Spiritual Director of the NY ArchDiocese. Monica
Morales from NBC will be the emcee. If you wish to
volunteer to help on the gala committee please call Mary 718 815-7255.
Please make every atempt to attend the Gala;
we will have a table for the singles,
(hopefully more than one)
several of our members are
already committed to attending the Gala.
